THE SURF
Andalucía usually receives well-ordered and super powerful ground swells that seem to come out of nowhere. Within the space of a single day, the surf can build by four feet and last for weeks on end.
The small crowd factor is also a massive plus about this region of Spain. The lack of crowds and ‘heavy locals’ makes this region and excellent destination for foreign surfers.
The majority of locals that surf in this area come from Malaga, Cádiz and Seville making the lineup at weekends a little bit crowded and the weekdays almost empty! Arriving on a Sunday and leaving on a Sunday would ensure pretty uncrowded surf.
Due to the rugged shape of the coastline, and the many coves and bays, working in different swell and wind directions, you should always be able to find a clean wave somewhere.
