Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is the birthplace of surfing and Capital City of the Canary Islands. Our base is the «Las Canteras» area of the city which boasts one of Spains best city surf beaches and as tourism first developed here on the island it has a real cosmopolitan feel and vibe.
All guests stay in our 2 sociable Surf Houses just meters away from the beach and surf breaks. Our Surf Camp is great value for money and ideal for single travellers and young friends who want a city surf break and enjoy the laid back Canarian nightlife apres surf!
The Billabong Surf School offers surf lessons for beginners and intermediate surfers. Whether you have never surfed before or whether you just want to improve your skills, the professional coaching team of surf camp owner Eduardo Acosta (3 times Spanish surf champion) will help you achieve your goals. The local instructors will work with you in small groups teaching beginner to advanced surfing fundamentals, which include water safety, surfing techniques, surf etiquette, proper equipment and wave selection surf video coaching etc

If you really want to learn quickly and efficiently the best way is making use of “Coaching Surf Video” with Eduardo Acosta. He will personally analyze the best waves filmed during your surf lessons and develop an exercise program designed to mechanize your movements in the water and in this way quickly assess short term progress. He will also give you all the tips and tricks you need to improve your technique and increase your general knowledge of surfing.
Beyond just surfing, you will take away unforgettable experiences from this trip, meet a lot of people and enjoy the island’s unique climate.

Our recently renovated surf houses are a traditional Canarian house thats been converetd into out base for the surf camp. It’s located in the heart of the «Las Canteras» area of town only meters away from the beach, the surf, local amenities and nightlife. The accommodation is popular with single travellers, young people and travelling surfers which creates a great vibe and atmosphere. It comprises of 4 bedrooms, two spacious lounge areas, fully equipped kitchen and dining room plus two bathrooms and a chill out terrace. The local team will help make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
